Lepakshi Temple

Lepakshi is a small village, in Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh. It is just 15Km from Hindupur. The unique feature of it consists of the 6 ft. height and 8 mt.length monolithic "Nandi" (the bull) sculpture which is said to be the biggest monolithic Nandi in India, which is synonymous with ancient Lepakshi.

Veerabhadra temple is located in Lepakshi. Inside the temple there are shrines of Veerabhadra swamy, Shiva, Vishnu, Durga and other Hindu gods. It was built in the mid-16th century by two brothers Virupanna and Viranna, treasury officers of the Penukonda Fort of the Vijaya Nagar Empire.
